1. Objectives:
   To cover specific areas in sylviculture that build on previous knowledge and student research interests. The students work individually or in small seminar-type groups and they are allowed to choose a specific topic related with sylviculture and forest planning, in agreement with the thesis supervisor. The methodology is based on guided learning, project-based learning and tutorials.
    
2. Programme topics:
   To be determined by agreement between instructor, supervisor and student, tailored to study program. Supervisor will choose a real study case according with the preferences and interest of the students. Student will analyze the case study and establish a recommendation of this.
    
3. Assessment:
   Course requirements may include a review paper on the chosen topic (100%), or a project report on experimental data (100%). There is no written exam.
