1. Objectives:
   Developing the abilities to:
   1. recognise the pathological origin of a problem in the forest,
   2. prescribe plans to address problems caused by diseases,
   3. account for possible future diseases during forest planning,
   4. read and interpret forest pathology literature, and
   5. communicate with forest pathology experts.
       
2. Programme topics:
   1. History and background.
   2. Basic concepts of pathology.
   3. Conditions for disease development
   4. Disease control
   5. Shoot and leaf diseases.
   6. Stem diseases Root diseases.
       
3. Assessment:
   Course requirements include the presentation or Reading Reports, Disease Cards, a Term Paper, A Field Trip Report, and a group Prescription.
