1. Objectives:
2. To relate ecological and biogeographic parameters with the natural systems that can be used as grazing zones. To know the vegetable communities classification systems using the phytosociological system. To compare the different pastoral systems and their related uses.
3. Programme topics:
4. 1. General aspects of Spanish biogeography. Bigeographical regions of the Iberian Peninsula. 2. Vegetation life forms. 3. Species and communities of herbaceous and no herbaceous grazed by animals. 4. Actual and traditional management 5. Seminar.
5. Assessment:
6. Course requirements include the presentation of a class summary (10%), a class project (30%) and a final exam (60%).
