Congratulations to our MEDfOR alumni Julia Ramsauer! She recently published a paper with results from her master thesis. The article “A multi-scale landscape approach to understand dispersal of the mistletoe by birds in Mediterranean pine forests” was published in the journal Landscape Ecology.

Julia, from Austria, studied at the University of Lleida and at the University of Lisbon in the academic years 2017/2019. At the beginning of 2021, she co-founded an association in Spain with the mission to combat climate change and depopulation in a rural region called la Manchuela (Castilla-La Mancha): https://lamanchuelaporelclima.com. She is currently participating in the entrepreneurship programme “Urban Forest Innovation Lab” in Cuenca, Spain with the aim to found a communication agency focused on projects in the bioeconomy and forestry sector.
