  1. Objectives:
    Drawing on concepts from the other courses in this specialization, to train students in their application to the analysis of weak and good governance issues concerning Mediterranean forest ecosystems.
     
  2. Programme topics:
    1. Structure of Total Economic Value of forests across Mediterranean countries
    2. Forest ownership regimes across Mediterranean countries
    3. Public and private institutional regimes governing forest across Mediterranean countries
    4. Concepts of weak and good governance
    5. Cases of weak and good governance of Mediterranean forests
       
  3. Assessment:
    Course requirements include two alternative options: an essay (30%) + final exam (70%) or a final exam only (100%)
