United Kingdom“The MEDfOR programme allowed me to meet some amazing people and visit some of Europe’s most beautiful places. During my first year in Padova I went on multiple field-trips, visiting some of Italy’s fantastic mountains and forests. I spent my summer in between the two years undertaking an internship at the University of British Columbia. I completed lab work and participated in fieldwork that allowed me to travel to forest ecosystems across the region. During my short time in Lisbon I gained valuable knowledge and skills that can be applied to my future career in research. My advice to future participants is to choose your universities wisely, make the most of your summer vacation and take the time to enjoy an evening Spritz with friends.”
