Our MEDfOR alumnus Sangita Chowdhury, from the 7th edition of the MEDfOR programme (2018/2020), has recently received a scholarship to start a PhD at the University of Alberta, Canada, where she will be studying “Grazing management effects on soil carbon storage and soil greenhouse gas fluxes”.

After finishing her MEDfOR journey at the Universities of Lleida (Spain) and Tuscia (Italy), Sangita worked as a pre-doctoral student at the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) in Spain.

In her words: “MEDfOR helped me to develop myself both professionally and personally. Special thanks to my MEDfOR thesis supervisor Prof. Dr. Maria Teresa Sebastià and her research group for expanding my knowledge in research”.

Congratulations and good luck with your PhD Sangita!
