Luiz, from Brazil, studied at the University of Lleida (Spain) and the University of Padua (Italy) in the academic years 2021/2023. He is currently a doctoral student at the Swedish University of Agriculture Sciences – SLU, developing research in the field of remote sensing to monitor forest disturbances.

In his words: “Participating in MEDfOR has truly been a life-changing experience. It afforded me the opportunity to study at world-leading universities specializing in Mediterranean forestry, forge bonds with colleagues from across the globe, and immerse myself in diverse cultures. The activities undertaken during those two years improved my professional skills and prepared me for my future endeavours.”
