Our alumnus Jaher Ahmed recently published the article “Microclimatic conditions drive summer flight phenology of Platypus cylindrus in managed cork oak stands”, in the Journal of Applied Entomology, with results from his MEDfOR master thesis. Congratulations Jaher!

Jaher, from Bangladesh, studied at the University of Padua (Italy) and at the Universities of Valladolid and Lleida (Spain) in the academic years 2019/2021. He is currently working as a faculty member at the department of Entomology, Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh.

“MEDfOR opens a window to acquire diverse knowledge on forestry and environment. The program is not only an academic degree rather it provides opportunity to cope with different people and culture around the world. Nevertheless, you would shape your future career plan perfectly using the exposure gathered during the program. The two-year period that I spent at the University of Padova, University of Valladolid and University of Lleida was so precious and full of sweet memories.”, says Jaher.
