TWENTY YEARS AFTER THE BOLOGNA DECLARATION - WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES AHEAD FOR HIGHER FOREST EDUCATION?

The SILVA Network  Annual Conference 2019 run from June 19-21, 2019, in Tharandt, Germany and was hosted by the Technische Universität of Dresden.

Our MEDfOR co-coordinator, Catarina Tavares, was at the Meeting and presented the MEDfOR Master Programme. The presentation was focused on the implementation of the programme, its objectives, developments and outcomes. 

Topics discussed on the conference where mainly: i) impacts of the Bologna process on forest science degrees, ii) structure and changes on forestry courses and iii) mobility and internationalization of students.

Two IFSA members were also present at the meeting, as several students from the Technische Universität Dresden.

The primary objective of the SILVA Network is to stimulate and facilitate educational co-operation in the field of Forestry in Europe.
